Candy Crush game info
The goal of Candy Crush is to clear as many candies as possible to complete the level objective, which varies from level to level. Players can swap adjacent candies to create a match of three or more of the same color in a row or column.
Special Candies
Besides the six types of regular candies (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), there are special candies that are created by matching more than three candies. They have unique properties that can help players clear the game board more efficiently and achieve their objectives.
The different special candies in Candy Crush are:
- Striped candy: Created by matching four candies of the same color in a row or column. When activated, a striped candy will clear all candies in a horizontal or vertical line, depending on its orientation.
- Wrapped candy: Created by matching five candies in an L or T shape. When activated, a wrapped candy will clear all the candies in a horizontal and vertical line.
- Color bomb: Created by matching five (or more) candies of the same color in a straight line. When activated, a color bomb will clear all candies of the same color as the one that it is swapped with. Swapping a color bomb with a striped candy, wrapped candy or other color bomb, other effects are activated, clearing even more candies.
Levels
Each level has a certain objective, varying from level to level. The types of objectives are:
- Points: To complete the level, the player must achieve the target score within a limited number of moves.
- Candy Order: To complete the level, the player must match a certain amount of a type (or multiple types) of candies within a limited number of moves.
- Obstacles: To complete the level, the player must remove all obstacles (e.g. ice, dirt, …) within a limited number of moves.
- Ingredients: To complete the level, the player must move special ingredients such as cherries or nuts to the bottom of the game board within a limited number of moves.
Sugar Crush
Sugar Crush is a feature in Candy Crush that is triggered when the player completes the main objective of a level with moves or time remaining. When Sugar Crush is activated, any special candies that were left on the board at the end of the level will activate and give the player extra points. This can significantly increase the player's score.
Boosters
Boosters can be purchased or earned by completing certain levels. Boosters can be used to help players clear a level, such as extra moves, color bombs, or striped and wrapped candies.
Some examples of boosters are:
- Free Switch: Switch two candies that don’t match and are not next to each other.
- Lollipop Hammer: Destroy a candy of your choice.
- Extra Moves: Adds additional moves to the level move limit.
- Colour Bomb: Start the level with a Colour Bomb candy in the game board.
Tips
We collected a few tips that can help you to improve your gameplay and achieve higher scores in Candy Crush:
- Plan your moves: Often there is no time limit for a level, so you can take the time to analyze the game board before making a move. Look for potential matches and plan ahead to create cascading matches that can clear more candies in one move.
- Focus on the objectives: Always keep the level's objectives in mind, whether it's collecting specific candies or clearing obstacles. Try to prioritize moves that help achieve these objectives.
- Create special candies: Matching more than three candies in a row will create special candies that can help you clear the board more efficiently.
- Use boosters wisely: Boosters can be helpful, but they are limited in number. Save them for levels that are particularly difficult or that require a specific type of candy to complete the objectives.
- Take breaks: Candy Crush can be addictive, but it's important to take breaks and give your brain a rest. Playing for too long can lead to fatigue and poor decision-making.
