Text Twist 2 game info
Gameplay
Select the letters you want to use to create a word by clicking on them. If you are ready to submit, click enter to check if you formed a valid word. You can also type the words on your keyboard and press enter, this allows you to submit words much quicker.
Try to fill in the entire board with words. Create a word using all the provided letters to continue to the next round.
To help you, you can select the Last button to see which was the final word you created. You can then immediately build further onto this word. A selected letter can be unselected by clicking on this letter again. To remove all the selected letters, use the Clear button. As mentioned before, you can use the Twist button to rearrange the provided letters and help you see new words.
In the settings, you can change the difficulty of the game by choosing how long the longest word has to be to continue to the next round. You can select a 6 letter word, a 6 or 7 letter word (the default setting), or only 7 letter words.
Scoring
You receive points every time you create a word. The longer the word, the more points you receive. Try to work yourself up on the scoreboard and beat the highscores of yourself or your friends.
Versions
In the beginning of the game you can choose between a timed or an untimed version. If you think you are fast, challenge yourself and try to create as many words as you can in 2 minutes. If you want to play relaxed and be exhaustive in the words you can create, feel free to use the untimed version.
Tips and Tricks
- Short words first: Create some 3- or 4- letters words early on to gather points. These also help to form longer words, e.g. by using prefixes (re-, un-, in-, pre-) and suffixes (-ing, -ed, -er, -ly, -tion).
- Don’t forget the word using all letters: At least one word using all the letters is required to advance to the next round. Prioritize finding this word early or you won’t be able to advance to the next round.
- Extend already formed words: New words can easily be found by extending already found words, by creating plurals (adding -s, -es) or by adding prefixes and suffixes.
- Mentally group consonants: Try grouping consonants together to see which combinations seem natural in English (st, ch, tr, bl, gr, etc.).
- Shuffle often: The Twist (shuffle) button is very useful. Shuffling the letters on your rack can spark your brain into recognizing new word combinations.
